FINALLY BEAT LENORA I didnt want to overlevel everyone, but I did level everyone up to 19 instead, with Bezzie up to level 21.
Turns out I didnt even need to use Bezzie at all! I put Turbine first, using him to try to take out the herdier. With incredible luck dodging TWO take downs in a row, not dying using tail whip, AND a crit shock wave, he managed to knock herdier down to the red before fainting, making Lenora use her super potion on herdier. I managed to knock out herdier after that with Bongwater, with two work ups, a rock smash, bite, and then watergun.
Now Watchog was next, and with its speed it finished off Bongwater the first turn. I sent out Kissy, hoping they'd be able to take a little damage off Watchog before it faints, but alternating between using heart stamp for the flinch and gust for that special damage, Kissy managed to knock out Watchog all on his own, thus winning the normal badge!
Now in Pinwheel Forest (inner), I take the opportunity to grind one or two more levels on everyone. And with this having Bezzie reach level 22, learning mega drain, I finally let her evolve into servine! After defeating all the trainers in Pinwheel Forest and getting the dragon skull back, I take this opportunity to search for two pokemon to catch, though neither for permanent team members, more just because I wanted to.
This is Allspice! He's definitely not a permanent member, since I already have Bezzie as a grass type, and is very likely to be put in the box immediately when I get to Castelia city, though I may use him to breed for a shiny pansage post game.
And this is Methane! She's going to stay on the team until I can get another fire type to replace her, maybe a darumaka or heatmor or something. Here's hoping I dont get too attached to her lmao. Will probably also use her to breed for a shiny post game later too.
This playthrough is making me like the elemental monkeys way more than I did before.

Despite getting two new team members and leveling them all up to 18, I got my ass kicked by Lenora lmao. That herdier is a menace. Glad this isnt a Nuzlocke!
First new team member is Turbine! He's timid nature which lowers attack for increased speed, which is really nice! He has garbage defenses though, and doesnt last very long in battle rn, plus his moveset kinda sucks atm since he has a fairly useless move (tail whip - lowers defense) while the rest of his attacking moves are special :/ For now he's on the team but he might end up getting replaced later.
Next new team member is Kissy! He has a calm nature, lowering attack for special defense. He also has klutz as an ability, which is. not great. Would've rather had unaware. As much as I adore woobat/swoobat I may have to swap him out later for a sigilyph or such. Although so far he's pulling his weight, especially since Pinwheel Forest (outside) is half fighting types.
Since you already get access to the daycare just after the first gym im resisting every urge to breed for a shiny panpour. I cant even masuda method for it it would just be full odds anyways.

Restarted my save last night, my first playthrough was too long ago for me to remember what I was doing, so I figured it'd be better to go again. Previous team was Lilligant, Zekrom(replacing a musharna), Samurott, Stoutland, Chandelure, and Krookodile. I plan to try and stay away from using these Pokemon again, but Lilligant, Musharna, and Krookodile are some of my favorites from gen 5.
I picked Snivy as my starter, who I've named "Bezzie", short for "Embezzlement". Bezzie turned out female! Has an Impish nature, which likely isn't great since it boosts defense and lowers special attack, but whatever. Do really love the mental image of her being a little shit.
I originally wanted to just abandon my starter at first chance, but the first pokemon you can catch is just patrat and lillipup, and unless the patrat was shiny I didnt want one, and already took lillipup on my last playthrough. Plus, I got really attached to Bezzie really damn quickly.
Second current team member is the Dreamyard gift elemental monkey, (in my case panpour,) whom I have affectionately named Bongwater. Modest nature, which is pretty great actually! Lowers attack for upping special attack, and with being pure water it aint gonna do much with physical attack moves. Unfortunatelythe elemental monkeys just kinda suck statwise anyways, but its ok because I love my son Bongwater.
