Crest Boons

Crest Boons (Also known as Crest Shards, Crest Tokens, or Crest Coins.) are little coin-like objects emblazened with the symbol of the crest it's of, that grant one-use alternate evolution abilites to a digimon. They can be found all over the Digital World, either scattered around loose or in gachapon-like devices.

Design

The Crest Boon is a little colored metal circle with a grooved rim, similar to that of a coin, with the emblem of the Crest it embodies in the center, covered by a clear, resin-like coating flush with the rim. The metal is colored the same as that on the crest tags.

Properties

Their functions have been noted to be similar in function to Digimentals, though crest boons are not limited to evolving digimon solely into armor level digimon, and wild tamer-less digimon can utilize the boons as well.

Usage

Digimon living in the Digital World will sometimes use these crest boons as a type of currency, or bartering material. A few set up shops, only accepting crest boons as currency. Most digimon will simply trade things for them.
