A desert-dwelling sophont species that are most known in the universe for their high exports in raw metals for cloth. The deserts on their world are chock full of various metals and stones, and their houses are that of large "nuggets" or "geodes" carved hollow.
Culturally, they overall display a disinterest in expanding out to other planets, mainly residing on their home world, with very few individuals living on or born on other planets. However, they are accepting of other sophonts wanting to reside on their homeworld, if they can survive the environment, and have a high density of extraterrestrial trading ports throughout the world.
Biology
They typically have very little body fat, as to keep from overheating in the desert heat. Their body is covered in tiny scales, similar to that of the body of an iguana, though their face and hands are just leathery skin. Their "wings" are fur-like fibers, made to help keep them warm at night and to brush away sand. Their dark eyespots are for keeping the sun out of their eyes, and are typically in a spot or stripe shape. The light-colored arrow stripes down their body was a form of motion dazzle for their ancestors, though "degraded" to a vestigial patterning once their technology was sufficient in protecting themselves.
Lthoins are a crepuscular species, and their diet consists largely of insects, small mammals, and local fruits and leaves.
