The Story of Sable Bly
"Sable was born to a pair of respected stonecarvers, and she showed love and respect to her parents, toiling to learn their craft until the age of fourteen. Her parents had predicted their daughter might give up the chisel, though they weren’t sure what it was that changed in her. It was an unspecial year, except that it was when she began to look out the window for her own dreams. Anyway, her mom and dad agreed to let her chase whatever future might make her happy, and so they didn’t interfere when Sable went to the militia, and asked to be schooled in the fundamentals of arms and combat. It proved a great wonder to them all, though, for she displayed a remarkable gift for hand-to-hand fight"
